Hi, my name is Katie, and I’m a Potter-holic. I’ve been married for 7 years, and though we don’t have kids, we’ve filled our lives with incredible happiness.
Besides reading, my favorite hobby is crafting- mostly home decor/pinterest type stuff. When my husband and I bought a 4 brm house 2 years ago, I was sure to claim the large bonus room as my crafting space. Score!

We moved into the house in June 2013, and we were trying to figure out what we should do with the front room, which is right off the front door, and traditionally would be like a sitting room or something. Not really our style (though that’s what it ended up becoming. But it’s super cute, so it’s okay). I suggested we fill it with book shelves and comfy couches, and make it like the Gryffindor Common Room. We shared a laugh at my silly suggestion, but inside I thought, man, that would be awesome!

So a few months pass in our new house, then in September (for my birthday), my husband bought me a Gryffindor throw blanket and said hey, I thought maybe you could hang this in your craft room and decorate that room to look like the Gryffindor Common Room.
There are MANY things in my Harry Potter Craft Room that I love, but that blanket on the wall always makes me smile, because it reminds me that 1. I absolutely married the perfect man for me, and 2. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Whatever makes you happy, go do it…like right now!
I’m proud to be a HP nerd. It’s weird and dorky and I am so ridiculously over the top with it, but it is so much fun, and it brings me an awful lot of happiness!
So I hope you enjoy my updates about my super fun Harry Potter Gryffindor Craft Room! I don’t think it will ever really be done, which is fine with me!

Here’s hoping you’ve found your happiness, too! Cheers!
